its a refurb date , very nice arsenal reconditioned early wilkinson blade ,
the mangrovite scabbards were ausie and brown , not sure that to be one but i think with the set you have a keeper

15 is the year and 29 might be a inspection date? |

Found another one too. Is this a bajonet who olso came with mk3? 62nd Foot The Duke of Edinburgh's (Wiltshire Regiment) Dont know if this is what 62 means |

correction to earlier post - reconditioned "early" wilkinson blade ,
1929 is a refurb date 'rearsenaled' and reissued , the second is a sanderson made Pattern 1907 for the no1 rifles , mfgrd in 1918 , refurbed in 1922 , scabbard looks to have an early almond shaped frog stud , in keeping with the mfgr date ,blade is original length , it has not been cut down , yes its a keeper , |

that is a makers mark , like an inspection stamp , not sure what the number is specific to , most likely these stampings were assigned to individuals but i am not familiar with the procedures , could as easily have been assigned to an inspection station with multiple operators ,

Its says something about regiment markings on the bajonets, I just dont understand what kind of markings it should be. |

those markings will generally be on the pommel where the press stud is at the bayonet lug connection channel
i have a couple with great regimental markings intact but no photos anymore - lost in the photobucket bust years ago ,

Ok I see. Thanks for answer. There is so mutch info for theese rifles and bajonets, but this forum give me absolutly the best and less confuseing info
