Fellas,
I’m new here. I have a No1 Mk111* that shows 1917 on the side of the Rifle. What would be the correct bayonet for this rifle? Thanks |

There are several that would be fine. The no 1 MkIII was in service for a long time. Starting with the rare (& so expensive) "Hooked Quillion", or the more reasonable Pat 1907. There were also several variations on the scabbard & the frog. Round button, "teardrop" button, riveted or no rivets & so on.The frogs were available in leather & webbing also. Lots more info here:

yup - pattern 1907 bayonete , as stated that era might have seen a hooked quillon version , but by 1917 its not as likely as early war rifles so you will be correct with a sans quillon version , they were cutting those off by17 , you can readilly find a P1907 or earlier without that had its quillon cut off or made without , there are a number of mfgrs ,
this makes the difference in that a quillon bayonet may well command $600 as without $100-150 in really great condition with scabbard and vintage frog , do some research by reading as shamu suggests , to learn of what to look for - the scabbard of that era will have the almond shaped stud not the round one and the hilt might or might not have the clearing hole - the non-is the older version ,
