Just finished a couple of new builds, one a bench-rest in .303B and the other a .45 conversion.

Each has unique features.

The No. 1 Bench Rest Barrel 303B has been blacked out and a quad-rail fore-end adapted.
With the big cushy recoil pad it's like shooting one of my .45 conversions.

And here's a .45 acp carbine conversion on a No. 1 action.
The stock is the same that was on it when I got it, but has now been bedded.
The tricky bit here was modifying the original rear sight to fit the .45 barrel.
I also used a No. 4 front sight.
Seems to shoot pretty much dead on at fifty yards.
Recoil is insignificant.

Both were stripped to the white and reparkerized.
At over $3.00 a gallon for gas, I want it leaded, 100 octane, and my windshield washed!

Sorry, one .45 and one unusual .303.
The other .45 is just a boring De Lisle replica and I've posted those before.

Nice work! I take it the .303 barrel is a one off. It's looks like it's pretty heavy; what length is it?

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

A way cool job, but what is the intended use of these rifles? Forgive my ignorance, but it does not seem to be the most practical conversions that I have seen.Confused
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their planet!!

The .303 is a bench-rest target gun.
He will add a bipod and scope, maybe a camera?

The .45 will likely be used for hunting, they are very popular for taking feral pigs, deer, and small game.
Virtually no recoil so ideal for youth or women.
