Got a chance to visit with some friends last weekend.
The property is big enough to allow us to have targets from 100 thru 600yds, so we brought out some Enfields & had an informal shooting match. Great fun racing for gongs at differing ranges.

We set it up so that we'd have relays of 4 shooters. One would call  a range & we'd all engage the plates, one per shooter. First one to hit called a different range & then repeat.

We had  acouple of #4's, a #1, & an ishy in .308.

Followed up with a barbecue & a bull session round the campfire.

Good times all round & the scattered thunderstorms didn't spoil anything as they seemed to roll round daily at about 10:00pm, so we just went under a big awning & watched the lightshow.

You betcha, cookie!
I've still got to get them downloaded & hosted before I can post here, but hold on there I'll git 'er doneApprove.

In a way this was a commeration of one of the members who passed away a little while back. he was an Enfield collector, & we'd originally planned a salute in his memory with Enfields. Unfortunately we didn't have enough Enfields there to do it as we'd planned. On balance I think he'd have approved of what we did though, as he was pretty low key, and would have had more fun dropping steel plates than firing blanks in salute.

#4 whereabouts are you? you might be within travelling distance of the area in SW PA.

Shamu how many Enfield buddies do you have? How many are a member here? If not have you asked them to join?

I'm a member on another website that has a C&R section. We have a large membership, scattered all over the world. If there's an Enfield question I usually send the questioner the link to this site, as this is definately loaded with experts.
I think a few of them may have visited, but I don't know how many joined though.

We have a couple of different get togethers through the year, a couple of which I go to regularly.
One is in the Ozark National forrest in Arkansas, one in Raton NM at the Whittington Center, and then there's this one in PA.

It's already planned for this year, Cookie.
Last week in September at a campsite on Sylamore creek.
You'd be welcome to drop by.
