Welcome OzBloke from another Oz Bloke.
Dave, you were lucky. My last enema they had run out of turpentine so they used unleaded petrol.

Hi all!
I'm new here, I'm a gun nut from Sweden with a fling for Enfields.
Here are my toys, a No1 MkIII* and a No1 MkI*(Long Branch). The revolver is a No2 from 1932.

I'm 43, two kids and a dozen rifles and a bucket of handguns to feed. :)

Hope I can fit in here!

Im a truck driver in the oil field. Im married and have 2 boys. I love guns, but dont know a great deal about them. I just recently bought this enfield and was wondering how i can find out sumthing about it. Onthe side of the receiver is stamped No. 4 MK I / 2 (F) FTR / 51 12421

Cliff Welcome to the forum!!! I'm sure we can get all that figured out for you about your new Enfield. Pictures of all the proof marks will help if you can.

Gonna hazard a guess, and let's see what I've learned.

Fazakerly built No.4MkI, Factory Total Rebuild in 1951 to No.4Mk2.

Hello i'm new to the Forum.  Just bought an unissued '43 long branch No4. mk1 with the inspection tags still on it.  I've been searching for a long time in my area (Ontario) for one this nice.  I'm undecided as to if i should actually shoot it or not.  You guys have any suggestions?

I'm new to this forum.  I just picked up a sporterized enfield no4 mk1 * for 100 bucks.  Its my first one, so I didn't want to go all out.  I haven't got a chance to shoot it yet
