I just received this one. Sporterized but not butchered. All numbers match and I like it. Please feel free to comment on its markings or in general as I am still learning. I'll post a range report soon.

Too bad it was cut back, that is a nice looking Coachwood fore-end. A nice looking rifle overall and could be brought back to spec. Although, I would maybe be inclined to leave it as is. It does still look pretty nice the way it is.

Markings and stock indicate an Australian service rifle.

Homer, on the top of the body, does that number 2 have a meaning?

Honestly, the only thing I would do is add a rear sight protector and keep the rest as it is. It does look pretty sharp overall.

I don't go for sporters BUT I do like this one. It is tastefully done and looks like it was designed like that.

My son and I took her to the range on Saturday. Miserable weather, -7 with a bunch of new snow. Regardless, was a fun shoot and was pleased with the rifle, it functioned well and has a good feel about it. I'm certain with some fussing it will be decently accurate...more so in my sons hands than mine.

Quinn took a quick video but can't seem to upload it. Also had a wolf lope across the road in front of us on the way in. Was a good day. Thanks for the comments, it's the first rifle I've purchased un-seen and I'm happy with the results.
