The De Lisle, a repro. Possibly from SIA?

The De-lisle carbine is definately one for the wish list. But probably very dificult to obtain.

I'm sure the anti terrorist police could use it to good effect!

Hold position a moment. I should have captioned the carbine photo as belonging to a friend in the UK. It is the real deal in any event.

MJ, I have a question regarding your De-Lisle carbine!
It appears different to those shown in Skennerton's book.
Firstly; the .45 magazine being in a modified .303 mag at the front of the mag well instead of being latched in at the rear next to the trigger guard mag release.
Secondly; it appears to be built on a No4 type receiver instead of a No1.
Is it a one off special? or possibly a trials type?
I find these carbines very interesting. I would love to get the chance to shoot one someday; but even getting to see one is unlikely in view of the very low production figures.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
