I mentioned the box magazine as, I believe is part of the "bullet to chamber" delivery system, along with bolt, feed ramp. Too me, the obvious (and easiest) to eliminate my feed problems was polishing the feed ramp, then ensuring the magazine was tuned. I watched closely as I was feeding a round in from the after market mag. The left hand bullet nose hit the feed ramp very low. The right hand bullet didn't even hit the feed ramp, going high and to the left!

There's an old trick to see how well you are adjusting magazines. You put "Dykem" or something similar on the feed ramp & run  a few action proving dummies through the action. If its right you get a distinctive inverted "Y" shape where the noses feed. If you look at your feed ramps you may find that there's one right there now from live ammo you fed in the field.

That's a great idea! I'll have to wait as I polished both the feed ramps of the rifles I took to the range. Next time!
