Here's a link to a Canadian Ranger site and interesting bit of reading with regards to upgrading there personal weapons.  couple pretty neat ideas i think
 
If all else fails call in a MOAB and call it a day

Interesting article. Usually the government doesn't have issues spending money on stupid stuff. I think they should upgrade the rangers equipment. To me this subject should be a no brainer.

Ya, but your also talking about a government that new the LSVW was a piece of crap vehicle, and the mast and tranny on the griffon would lower its load capability, new the wings would need replacement on the Aurora's before 2006 if they didnt want cracks in the wing roots. And amazingly we still drive LSVW's, the griffon can't carry an infantry section with full kit,  And I assist Airframe techs in crack inspections
If all else fails call in a MOAB and call it a day
