I seem to remember someone mentioning Oxpho_blue as a cold Bluing product. Have members used this? Do they like it? Is there another product people use? I can get it in Canada. 34 bucks for a 4 oz bottle. Does this go a long way? Sorry for all the questions and thanking you in advance.

I've used it quite a bit. Its nice but still not as durable as hot blueing. Preparation is everything! De-greasing thoroughly, slight surface polishing to have bare clean steel, not oxide & so on.

Thanks Shamu. I used to get a product shipped up from Brownells. It can in a gallon jug and you cut it with water. I used to take the barrels down to shiny and then lay the steel into a homemade trough. It was a very durable finish but I can't remember the name.
