.  At one time I was knee deep in military rifle collector forums  when the internet first came about ( yeah I know I'm dating myself ) .  Anyhow amd getting back into collecting after a hiatus of almost two years due to a fire that destroyed the bulk of my lifetime of collecting , reloading and tools.
My son is smitten with the collecting bug thank god. I gave him my 11/44 No5 carbine ( not import marked ) . Love to find him a real brit poker for it. I had a couple of the indian knockoffs years ago - some look OK and most were crude.
I just got him a 1942 Lithgow. One of those Jovino imports but it's not one of the jovino franken enfields. It's an honest match throughout but the buttstock is worn good and some bubba sanded the butt too. Any help on a 42 date lithgow patt07 poker for it and if miracles never cease a 42 dated butt.
Two of my other enflieds which were not in the fire He will get soon enough. One is a 1911 dated SMLE sighted from the factory for Mk. VII SAA from the factory. The disc is as well marked to the kings royal rifles corps. It has the original claining pull through gear in the buttstock no less. Only thing I added to it was many years ago a fellow collector I knew then in the UK found me a gorgeous 1911 dated web sling fo it.  I have a sanderson '09 dated hookie  in exc shape mated to it...would love to swap it for a 1911 dated hookie that's english issue. I had a 1911 dated hookie that was nice... but it was australian property marked and I traded it off.
The other is a flat gorgeous ERA patt'14 that's hard to beat . I got it from a friends dad whom was in B17's during the war. He snookered it form an old home guard fella for foodstuffs and some whiskey. And man can it shoot !!!!!. I got a minty Patt 13 bayo for it many years ago and mated a gorgeous 1917 web sling to it many moons ago.  Oh if anyone has a loose decent not refinished butt for a 1942 longbranch No4 help !. Some bubba refinished the butt on the one I got for my son .
       Any help appreciated.  Regards, Bill.
