yup the specs are on the glass a quarter inch or so from the reflective surface while your face is poitioned at your focal point from that same reflective surfae , we called it depth of field in photography , you get colose with a camera lens and you can focus on the item of interest everything else is fuzzy - great effect

Have you notice how nature compensates?
As you get older and uglier you eyesight diminishes so you don't notice when you shave.
Life.. a sexually transmitted condition that is invariably fatal.

again depth of field - a wonderful reason to quit shaving - if i wasnt having issues with skin cancer id grow a beard - i could see it in the mirror in the morning and know what i look like ...sorta , bad vission makes me see a sixteen year old first -then reality sinks in - again

Maxwell's Demons. I can't get the oddball link to post here, google "Abandon all heat ye who enter here", and the PDF of the short story all about this should pop up at the top of the list.

Why does the water go down the plug hole clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anti-clockwise in the south? And what does the water do on the equator?

And does this mean that really rifling in rifles should go opposite ways, depending on which hemisphere you are in?

It does.(confirmed by a brother-in-law that visited Austalia) And apparently right on the equator, it just goes straight down the toilet!

They found in the Boer War that their rifles were shooting off at long range partly because of twist and drift, Pedro.   (Rifling t'other road 'round compensates for earth's rotation. ) :-)

Why do I comb my hair with my left hand when I'm looking in a mirror, and not otherwise?
