Try some more linseed in the wood, it'll help fill the pores permanently, unlike water which comes & goes shifting things about.

While using 180 grain do you find the iron sights work as intended with relation to range accuracy?

On my ballistics software I was figuring around 2" high at 50 yards with a 200 yard sight in. My four shot average was lower than that. I'm thinking that a little fore end pressure will bring POI up and make it correct. The three to five pound standard should get things spot on. After I get things dialed in better, I'll take some shots out to 200 at my IDPA plates and see how close it is.

looks like a good start. Get a few more rounds through it and see how it goes.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
