Nice Guns!!

I see all those guns that are maybe 40's or earlier, and the wood is in so good  condition...

Do they carry the original wood??? Are they just in this condition because of not been used?

Confused

Enfield MK1 No4

he!!o bravehrt17,
Thank you.

The wood is in excellent condition on all the 4 rifles, I try to buy my rifles in mint condition but to be used whenever possible.
The No4 in 7.62 (top) is a 1970's to 80's conversion (from a Savage action) so the wood could have been possibly changed at that time, the SMLE is a 1940 BSA dated rifle and the wood is so dated, came from a large collection being sold, did not look like it had been fired/used. The No4 in 303 is a 1956 Fazakerly Mk1/2 wood also dated 1956 with matching serial numbers. The 7.62 Envoy was built in 1971 the wood is also dated 71 and serial numbered as the rifle this came from one very careful owner, I have the original factory 100 yds accuracy test target.
