This year while I was hunting along a secluded stream I frequent I stumbled upon what I believe to be an old Moonshine still. I could be wrong but there were a bunch of Mason jars, old medicine bottles (all different colors), old porcelain/ceramic jugs, as well as pieces of stovepipe and metal. I also found an old cast iron skillet etc. Like ilI said I may be wrong but thought I'd pick everyone's brains and see what they think. Below is the link.

The link just takes you to the home page. Do you have a better link?
I'd not assume "old" or "abandoned" BTW a lot of these are just not working today.

It could be an old mooshiner's set up but geography may speak against it. Unless there was a local demand for home brew would it not be easier to go to our neighbor to the north for liquid refreshment.

I have found a couple of old moonshine stills when I was hunting as a teen in Florida, I took one of my step uncles to one of them to show him. after we went talk to some of the oler people in the family and found out that they were shine stills and they remember when the persons got busted .and the stills destroyed !!!!
I dug through both of them hoping to find a bottle that had not been busted , but no luck!!!

From what I see in your picture , it looks as though some one may have been living there or camping there way back when........

Yeah as I look more through the pile of glass most of it is broken. I've been weeding out some very old complete specimens.

Don't think its a moonshine cook. The thing throwing me off is the location. Its at the bottom of a very steep 10ft slope to a small area on the edge of the stream.

Thanks Hoadie.

Not mine.

My wife would not let me steal any of her cook ware.

I think you found someones old trash dump.

Back in the days of old (before Hoadie was invented ) people in the country just tossed there trash down a hill in the woods behind the house.

You could by the looks of it sand blast the old cast iron skillet and use it to make chow for Hoadie.
