I harvested this deer and my buddy got his (on the quad) this hunting season 2016 in the Grand Forks region of British Columbia. Silly me forgot to have pictures taken with my Enfields due to excitement and a slight(ahem) hangover. Saw 9 black bears, one came into camp and one on the trail while on my quad ran in front of me not 10 feet ahead, didn't have time to get a shot off though. Next month going for bear in an open area and taking my #4 Parker Hale Supreme for that shot.

sure..rub it in!
Then again..its WAY too hot here for a hunt, anyways.
The gurus @ environment Canada (whom - if they didn't have a window in their office - I'm convinced wouldn't have a clue as to what was goin on!)say this will continue thru October.
Well, I aint hunting moose, so that's no biggie..but this warm stuff has to stop.
It has been screwing up our deer hunts..as well as our habitat here. We had no rain at all from early June thru till august. Here we are twixt 2 great lakes, & have the worst drought in history..go figger

Great eating though even at that price. I have my next deer/bear hunt starting Oct.1st for another week. Different area up near Kamloops, BC. Lots of game up there and if I tag out early I'm going fishing on Kamloops Lake. I have a cougar tag too....no Hoadie, the 4 legged kind, the 2 legged kind scare me to death but they do have their uses as well.

..They took 26 bears from the area round the cabin this year.
The bear hunt still on, but everyone has gone back to 'Merica.
So - they baited but never used the stand nearest the cabin this year, so we are going to continue to bait it.
When we go for deer - we'll have a bear tag with us.(Unless I get one next weekend when I'm up).
I don't normally go fer bear..but theres no dumps near us, & after cooking up that bear for the Englishman that hunted out of our cabin last year - I've changed my mind somewhat.

We're not allowed to bait bears in BC.Just step over the border with Alberta and we can bait....doesn't make much sense.
