Yep Hartsfield is enormous!

i was last there in 81 so im not speaking from recent experience but i found back then you can get anything you want ...and some things you didnt , 

now im hummin that tune - "you can get anything you want at alice's restaurant , exceptin alice , at alice's restaurant " .............thats gonna still be there tomorrow , ill have to dig out my arlo album to get rid of it

While cleaning my new (to me) Parker Hale No1 Mk4, I see some interesting milling marks on the barrel. The flat part of the barrel where it screws into the action says Parker Hale made in England. The rest of the barrel (it's bobbeda about 1/2" in front of the front site) looks like it went thru a late. The are very fine machining marks the whole length. Anyone every see this before?

Would they have done it to remove pits/rust? It must have been done prior to bluing. Never seen that before...
