You might be right. I just picked up a marching compass and a Fairbairn Sykes dagger.

I'm impressed with how sharp the thing is. I made a sandwich the other day and used it to cut it in half. Sliced through it like it wasn't even there... |

How bout that..I have one of those, as well. Guy that gave it to me told me it was SAS issue. I figgered: "yeah, right".
But I was never a "knife guy" so never looked into it. (The guy was ex Brit Military..now I'm wonderin) |

I believe they were made for Commando unit's so SAS would have had them as well. i would like to find one but they are expensive. Replica's are available though.

Would the originals have a stamp? (I would assume they would).
Mine is all black & WOW sharp. But there isn't a stamp that I can find anywhere. |

I'm not certain about mine,as far as original British service. It has a broad arrow stamp just below the name Sheffield. Possible fake, and if so,I didn't break the bank buying it. That being said,if it is a forgery, then someone needs to be commended on their work. This is balanced almost too perfectly. Just behind the Tang,at a fingers width...

I've seen replicas of the V45 (Devils Brigade fame) made by Case. Has anybody had any experience with these?

An original one should be 500 to 800 dollars. A British made replica maybe 120 and a cheaper repro' around 70
