I use it myself. It works as stated in the article. Good cleaner and preservative.

It worked well powder fouling, but not at all well on metal fouling for me, so I stopped using it.

I had the same experience, cleans well, doesn't remove copper well.

The PDF states specifically it is not a good copper remover. I use acetone and lanolin in the recipe and the mix cleans out all the powder fouling and leaves a good protective layer afterward. I have noticed less metal fouling being left after firing when I use Ed's Red. I'm pretty happy with the stuff.
