The AJ Parker 17mm Matchmaker front sight on my L39A1 only came with one blade insert. As I found the ones stored in the butt are for a 15mm diameter. Anyway I've found a solution!
While searching the web I came across Lee Shaver Gunsmith; who makes laser cut sets of sight blades. However he does not list any for the 17MM AJP sight. luckily I was advised that the Anshutz 17mm ones are similar.
So for 20 dollars I thought it's worth a shot. Got them last week; and they fit nicely. Lugs are correct and the finish is excellent. They are finer structure than the original.
Here's a pic of the new set with the original on the right.

Considering that one Anshutz blade would be about 4 dollars second hand in France; I think these are a good deal!

Zed.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Good to know, this stuff is getting harder & harder to find.

I second Zed. Coincidentally I just received a similar card from Lee Shaver for a 15mm PH pattern John Wilkes Precision front sight for a No.4. Nicely made and fit perfectly.
