I've been a long time lover of No4 rifles. The 3 I've had , in order:A 1942 Faz was ftr'd with a 2 groove barrel, a 1953 Burma contract Mk2 and my current girl, a UF55A Mk2 that I took out of the wrap almost 9 years ago.
The No4MK2 is my absolute favorite bolt action rifle, military or sporting.I shoot them and hunt with them as issued. In my experience they perform best as designed. Actually, I get more interest and comments about them in uniform. Sportered ones being just another cut up milsurp.
As my 55 is literally new, with a .301 bore and .313 groove barrel, I'm looking forward to getting the best from her.
Thanks in advance for the help and fellowship.

Many thanks to all. How do I post pictures? My 55 is unbelievably consistent in accuracy and point of impact. I also have a 49 production action with a toasted barrel and plastic stock. I'm thinking of what mischief I can get into with it. If nothing comes to mind, i might strip it for parts. Can't have too many spares...
