Darned nice looking rifle to me!

Is that 180 grain Prvi Partizan BTW?

The experts will chime in soon with a wealth of knowledge!

Looks like a very nice Fazakerly made No4Mk1 rifle.
The stock repair is quite common; due to the parade bashing that they would get sometimes.
The Parker Hale rear sight is a useful addition for target shooting. How well does it shoot?
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Is it my eyes or has the charger bridge been spot welded? (A common repair, nothing to be worried about).

The wood looks refinished, its a little shiny for "issue".

The rear sight is an aftermarket (but highly regarded) Parker-Hale PH-5C target sight. It has the 6 diameter eyepiece & colored filter holder attachment. Yours is the earlier version with the (approximately) 1/2 MOA clcks. You can tell because the range & windage knobs are tapered not drum-shaped.
I'd make a note & get a pic of the settings on elevation & windage as it looks like it has the standard front sight instead of the P-H tunnel which is much taller. This means you probably need to remove the sights top part (windage arm) to extract the bolt for cleaning & its a good idea to know where to replace it exactly to return to zero!

Vary nice setup.
Instructions for the PH-5A are available online.

Goosic's is the later 1/4 MOA (approx) turrets. It looks like he's using the German-made iris type diopter as well.

I was thinking about buying one of those German diopter sights for my PH TZ4/40 rear sight. Thinking I will now. I was worried the outside diameter would be too close to the cocking piece but after seeing your set-up it looks to be perfect.

Hans.K, nice rifle by the way! It does have a magazine meant for the #1/MK3 rifle but might have been modified for use in your #4 rifle. Please remember to tell us how it shoots.

I had to adjust up enough to clear the bolt
The other step taken was to add a taller front base for the Parker Hale globe sight.

i have one of those German Dioptre on my L39A1 rear sight. It is very useful; because I have to wear glasses for reading etc. With the adjustment you can tune it to a very clear sight picture.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
