thanks , ive had these for many years but my link was lost a long time ago from where i got them , its nice to have it back , i only had a printout of what i used to have , i guess there is something to be said for 'hard' copy even in these digital days the research it took to compile this data is a labor of love as much as saving the rifles which you all know im a major fan of to a fault ,

I noticed an H punch mark in the butt stock of my No1 Mk2. Anyone know what this identifies?? Thanks!

it always helps to get the nomenclature correct as there are a lot of us that get confused by the misrepresentations - so many use the no1 designation for early rifles that predate that era , these would possibly fall into your description - yet not correctly and that might have been where you were going here , as it is you are way past that era into the end of the straight number and mark system , 

i think you see why we need clear designations here , im not being difficult by any means just trying to point out that clear , concise , "good" answers depend on good input , its why we ask for photos so often , and why you get differing answers on various sites you might visit ,
