Well, I broke the mold.always like the 7&57. have two custom rifle on 98 actions built years ago.so I could not resist a venezualan [fn] short rifle, when a gentleman that was refered to me called..wood a little beat up here and there, not cracked any where, metal nice, barrel really nice.privi ammo nailed my favorite 300+yard rock.anybody else got one of these. guess they didn't make a whole lot of them.only problem is, doesn't hold enough rounds.oh well back to my enfields....Dane

I have one, it's converted to 7.62 in Israel and has a side mounted scope. Model 1930?

I actually don't own a Mauser I have a P-14, M1917 and a 1903a3 but don't have a real Mauser. My only German rifle is a 1888/05 and that action is a Mannlicher.

No problem.
The sweetest shooting rifle I ever handled was a Mannlicher carbine with  a full length stock in 7X57.

Voere the Austrian gun makers use a lot of refurbished mauser actions and produce some excellent rifles. No 1 son Alex was wanting a 308 for deer hunting and I spotted a brand new voere for £400. It's a cracking bit of kit, the only drawback was the Hogue stock was garbage and flexed like mad.  We installed it in a new wooden custom made stock and it's deadly accurate, all he wants now is a magazine conversion for it.Because I stuck a 10 round mag on my #4 mk1 Parker Hale sporter  and he thinks he's missing out.

The original has a cut down 5 round mag attached but I stuck the 10 round on just to wind the lad up and it worked. Now more expense trying to get a conversion kit for the "mouser" he's costing me a fortune.

Tony.i brought a Voere' Titan II from Germany back when I was stationed there !! also brought back 2 CZ-50 pistols also !!!  Got a Walther shoved to the back of my head for walking into the Frankfurt airport to come home them !!!! bt it was worth it !!  !!
That Voere' is a fine shooting rifle !! Mine is in 7mm Rem Mag !!!  I can pick a beer can off the fence post at 100+ yards standing, open sights !!!
I got the Double set triggers on mine !! helps out a lot !!!this one has dropped a few hogs and deer in the time Ive owned it !!

I couldn't agree more Rhino. I got a second hand semi auto voere 22 rimfire 30 years ago, the lad learned to shoot with it when he was 6 years old. It still works fine and it's dammed accurate, the lad borrowed it to thin out the rabbits round the dairy one evening, 2 hours later he came back with 30 head shot rabbits in the back of his pickup. The only reason he came back early was he got sickened by the slaughter.
