New guy from Panama City, Florida, I am retired USAF having done just under 23 years. I am military history nut, and collect military memorabilia and military surplus weapons. I have a small collection of weapons so far, both military surplus and commercial.

I have two, a 1943 BSA No4 Mk1, and a 1863 Snider Enfield. I'll have to post my weapons list as two separate posts, it won't let me post them all in one post for some reason!

Haven't thought about selling it since I only acquired it in March 2016, at what I think was a steal.

I didn't bring it back, another GI did, but fell upon rough times and sold it to a gun dealer, hence how I acquired it. There are very very faint Arabic markings on the butt plate, so faint that you could mistake them for scratches. As seen in the pictures of it, everything above the wood-line is in the white, below the wood-line it's still blackish.

The lock plate / side plate is dated 1863, the barrel is dated Oct 1866, she's ugly, but she's been there and done that more times than she was designed to do. A true testament to old world technology.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a great collection; in France I'd need a gun safe as big as a garage for that lot!Thumbs Up

Thanks for the warm welcome, I am a Enfield newbie, as my collection has mainly Mausers and Mosin Nagants, with a few different types thrown in here and there. While I only have one No4 Mk1 Enfield I am sure more will soon follow! Just like the Mausers and Mosin Nagants started to multiply when I closed the door to the office/gun-room, I am sure the Enfield will follow suit!
