agreed commercial BSA co - not its not " B.S.A C2," that is a misread of the poor stamping , the stacked rifles on the knox form give it away as well , nothing wrong with this one - not the dreaded khyber pass impostor

Oh, so the C2 is suppose to be C0 with the "0" underscored, So looks like a 2 but not. Ok Cool.  So in reality, am I correst to assume a No1 MkIII? If so What year ranges could it be based on the serial Number?

Yes, a "sort of": No 1 Mk 111.  I say sort of, because being private purchase they did not have to correspond to any sealed pattern like military arms.  If the volley sight was requested, they could be had.  If other details were wanted or not, these could be had some of the time. They weren't made for an individual customer, but some variations were available, not confined to the military pattern.  Didn''t word this well but hope you get the drift!!

It also seems to have no magazine cut off but the stock is cut for one. I can't tell if the receiver is slotted for one from that angle either.

i 'think' i see the cut but who knows if it is D&Td for the cutoff , it may well have had one but could as easily been made without ,
