Time is no problem, I know all too well how busy things can be. Whenever you do get some shed time is fine. In the meantime, enjoy your time with family!

I finally got time to remove the fore end and inspect the rifle. I have posted the photos for Bear in his quest for Maltby information. I hope is it useful.
There was a thin coating of cosmoline on the barrel and all metal work under the wood. No signs of wear on the sear or trigger. It's obviously had very little use. |

Thanks for posting those pictures, Zed. I am trying at the moment to figure out what the stamps on the wrist mean. So far I have only seen them on Maltby rifles. I assume they are some sort of inspection marks.
