So I adjust the canvas sling I bought for my Ishapore 303. And then I strap it to my arm in a hasty sling fashion. Which feels looser than it should be. I take it off and note the ends have moved from where I set them. How can I keep them from sliding about?

It sounds like a reproduction one, they are sometimes thinner than they should be. You might try carefully closing the width & depth of the brass fingers a little at a time till they grip the webbing more.

I use a sling that has extra webbing squares sewn on; seen here on my No8 Trainer.
It came from Charlie Surplus in Chicago, they have it listed as a special sniper sling! I'm not sure that's the case; but it works really well and appears originally manufactured that way, as the material is the same for the webbing and the little blocks.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Recently I purchased a couple of the repro slings, and they both slide.
My original ones stay put, but the new ones needed closing up as Shamu says.

(was wanting to keep my old slings as they are war-time marked....bought them when slings of this type were only a Pound or two.)
