I'm not so sure the Stooges have passed away...after the antics of this past weekend @ the cabin.
Went to cabin to work on bear bait station & check the game cameras.
Colin(originally from Blighty) came from wasaga Beach. Lenny played hooky @ Ford, showed up Friday aft.(Came from Alliston), & I.
It started when Lenny showed up. His trailer(w/ a very heavy ATV) had a tire so severly shredded, I've never seen N E thing like it.He drove 5 Kms on it to get to the cabin.
Sat, lenny & I were going to check cameras & stands - re-bait the barrel.
Lenny was going to stay out & wait 4 a bear(season is open). His gun case was locked - no keys. Bolt cutters were useless, hack saw only cut his hand. So he took my Rem. 870/20 Ga w/slug.
On way to stand, he got ATV hung up in the trees, & wrapped my S/G around a tree! .
Got him set up & went back 2 cabin - where Englishman was on side porch..dozing in a chair in the warm sun.(He had been out checking deer stands/feeders etc.) I laid down inside 2 rest my back. Then I hear Colin's chair go over & he's making funny rapid noises.(I thought he was having a heart attack). As I'm running to door he yells"Hoadie get your gun - bear here!!"(Lenny has it in the bush)I'm headed to door & bear runs past the window.I come out front door & its running past.Stops @ corner of cabin (beside 300lbs propane)& looks @ me. Colin comes round the corner screaming"shoot it!". I'm fishing for my phone to take a pic. He crashes into me - drop the phone. Bear runs along backside of cabin & goes into cedar swamp. (Turns out the bear woke him when it was 10 ft away.). Trying to clam him down was a chore.Tried to call lenny to come back - he can't get cell service on his phone.)
MT food cans went into recycle bin outside after dinner. Noises & crashing all nite out there.(Racoons were having a feast & fighting).
Lenny had to leave ATV & trailer @ cabin.(I'm told he lost ATV key on way home!)
Curly, Larry & Moe (Colin,Lenny & Moi) are most certainly alive!

You shoulda been there when the diesel generator caught fire in the wood shed!
Rhino can tell ya all about that one. If he hadn't gone out to "answere nature's call", we'd all be crispy critters!!

so did he P it out or find another suitable way  ? just askin cause old prostrates often dont allow the volume nor the distance in an emegency even tho it feels like one .....

we have a sign on the urinals for the old trap shooters at the gun club , "those with low muzzel velocity or short barrels please engage the target at close range"

A Sq: I was in kitchen cookin. The door flew open & Rhino was yellin fer the fire extinguisher.
Everyone just had that dumb look on our faces, looking @ each other..til Rhino screamed he wasn't f*c%i@g around - we're on fire!!
It was standing beside him @ the door - so he saved the day.

As fer his prostate...you will hafta ask him

A-Square, that was the first time I've actually spit my coffee out reading your post!
Folks talk about doing it, but this is a first for me!

i am glad i got to entertain a bit - been working on that skill lately , have to add here that once - a long time ago - in another life - i was in canada , on a fly-in fishing trip , and we had occassion for the lantern to go out ...i was refiling the HOT lantern very carefully , a friend [or so i thought ] sugested it was going to slow and reached around me and squeezed the can to speed things up , instand fire everywhere ,

i dropped the lantern [gently to the table] and grabbed my coleman cooler and because it was open and full of water dowsed the entire area putting out the fire , the coleman still has the burns to attest and is in my garage , my friends all thanked me , i was glad the water worked , i love that cooler - i will keep its burn scarred carcass with me always

it did not put out the flames on my coveralls and hands so the ice cold lake relieved the minor burns i got , it was a sobering moment ...that i soon squellished with copious quantities of beer ,

i tell this story only to explain that i was not trying to make light of an extremely dangerous moment ,

yet - i am pleased to think that you got some pleasure from my response as in my mind i actually saw that happening with that bunch , and i know with my prostrate id be hard put to get the volume or distance to aid in extinguishing the fire i experienced back when , even if i had the copious quantities of beer in my ,

glad everyone is OK ,
