Not really rare but difficult to find, note the absence of the flat spring in back on the rib. Used on Mark 1 variations and early Mark 111

Here's the magazine for my 1911-Mk3... a MK3. It must have been a later replacement prior to the much simplified mk4.

The Mk2 + Mk3 magazine are quite rare.. even here in Blighty. Most were converted over to Mk.4 specifications. If found for sale, either the Mk2 or Mk3 will fetch around the £50 ($75) mark.

This is MY rifle, there are many like, but this one... is MINE!

I have one in my SMLE that I use. They are fairly common here in
Oz, I have seen plenty of them.

Obvious (to me) question.
Are the mag-wells identical or is there a clearance somehow for the "gate"?
