The "no exports" is actually an Obama thing. Google "ITAR" for the gory details. ITAR was originally written to stop export of high tech proprietary US military equipment to potential enemies (Things like gen3 Night vision with the micro-channel plate), but it was "Reinterpreted" to include darn near everything arms related.

I use a place in Niagara Falls, NY. He charges $6 Cdn for an envelope, & $42.CDN for pallets.
You can legally import small arms ammo, as well - legally

Actually, forgot about that option. I'm about an hour from the border. There's a farmer just on the US side that has a Quonset and you get your stuff mailed there. He let's you know when it's there. $10.00 for that service, I believe. When I was working, a guy at work would order stuff for other people all the time. Tires, rims, etc. Thanks for the brain bump!

HT: I cant remember how far Brandon is from a US crossing.(I know how far Emmerson is).

If its worth your while, have it sent to a mail/freight receiver there. Then go over & bring it back yourself. That's what I do..then again, I'm right on the border (Niagara Falls)

i dont look at reproductions as "fakes" as long as they dont pretend to be originals ,

the commercial conversions of old rifles to 'fake' models is not too bothersome if they dont pretend to be originals either to me ,

there actually was a model of jungle carbine made from the no1 rifle - the no6 in OZ but only a few hundred actual trials rifles were made - they are very valuable items ,

Go to eBay and type in the words, Enfield Sniper.
They should have a bunch of parts there.

Depending on what parts you are looking for, I have a lot of #4 parts and some #1 screws and such.

I'm in Canada. I've been checking out US sites and EBay. Not sure why but on alot of gun components, they won't ship to Canada. Has "the Donald" built a wall between us and the US I didn't hear about? And what about Free Trade? All kidding aside, I'm not sure why or when these came into place, but Numrich states they cannot send scopes to Canada.

Question. I'm in the process of completing my numbers matching No 4 Mk 2 sniper clone. I realize it is not the real deal, nor would I advertise it as such. Doesn't matter to me. In my mind,it is a "representation" of the real thing. That being said, and not wanting to buy a real or replica Mk 2, scope, what would suffice on my "interpretation" piece? Currently sits an old Weaver 4x. Feel free to pile on...

Case in point. The cheek rest, scope mount, and scope on this is all reproduction items. The rifle itself is all original though...

For genuine parts, E-bay has lots , many out of the UK, and NOS.

The most popular would be the "Jungle Carbines", many are cut down No4 rifles. Then there are the "factory fakes" like the Indian No1 "Jungle Carbine" conversions. No such thing ever existed. Then there are the parts to fabricate them. "No5 Flash suppressors with a built in muzzle break", but the wrong internal diameter to fit, or reproduced Mk32 scopes & mounts as well.

Mostly its more subtle with the L-E than direct fakes, more like modifying something not-so-rare to become rare. D-I-Y No4Mk1(T) snipers being a case in point.

Things like bayonets are more commonly reproduced, for good or ill.
