No apologies needed. These were original T's sent to India. As i mentioned there they scrubbed the left side and relocated the ID to the receiver ring. I had my doubts too at first but shared photos with the few who would have known and got the nod back. Roger Payne provided one of his wonderful brackets to carry the original scope and we were off to the range. Today his brackets are worth more than the rifle original cost.

Is that built on a No4Mk2 or a No4Mk1/2 ? Must be a rare beast!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

My apologies. It was another poster that thought maybe made in India. It is a very nice rifle.

Again, I apologize for my ignorance. Would this rifle be classified as an "original authentic" Lee Enfield T? I only ask as you mentioned it might have been made in India. Thanks!

Location of ser. #. They scrubbed the left side during FTR and renumbered on the receiver over the chamber.

A fair number of these came over in the early '90's I have seen four besides this one and also they are posted on other Enfield sites.

It turned out to be a rather nice rifle getting into the bull on a 25 yard pistol target at 200 yards first test.
