I can see that this is the place to ask this question before I make a buy, so here it is guys and gals:

My local gunshop has a Mk. 1 Webley for sale.  Asking price is a mere $499 (yeah cheap these days).  The revolver has been converted to .45 acp (yes action is loose) and grips are hand made replacements (nicely done btw).  Suggestions?  I have too many projects to get into more but I've a very soft place in my heart for former subjects of John Bull's Empire.

I'd be happy to refer anybody to this shop if they'd like to snap up this piece.
Enfields are like chips, can't stop at just one.

my first thought is you would be crazy to shoot 45acp through a black powder revolver particularly since its the first in the series and they did not shoot smokeless of any load untill the 4th ,

my second thought is that whomever shaved that cylinder was looking to kill someone ,

last thought is that as a wall hanger that should be decommissioned its an expensive ornament ,

sorry to be so negative but im certain you can see why im saying this in no-uncertain terms ,
