I have been searching for a respectable replacement scope for the Faux L8A5T. I think I may have done just that. The scope is a fixed 10 power with a 40mm objective. Mounted, it has a mere .010" clearance between itself and the lower handguard.  It comes with external adjustment turrets as well. I think it looks right at home on the old girl.
As a side note. I installed a No1 trigger that gives me better control with trigger pull over the No4...

Nice setup for sure! That is an interesting idea about using a #1 trigger. I would like to know more bout that.

It was by total accident that the No1 trigger ended up on the rifle. I reached into my spares looking for a grooved trigger. Did my polishing thing to the humps, beveled the axis pin holes, polished the pin itself and installed everything.  There is no trigger creep and no take up as well. It was only after I got my finger on the trigger that I,"felt" the difference.  It sits further back then the No4 trigger and it's wider at the grooved area. The two stages are there but albeit, alot smoother. Using a Snap Cap, I dry fired it multiple times to get a feel for the new set up realizing it has a better let off consistently. For comparison, I put an unissued No4 trigger in and got totally different results with more or less negative effects.  There was no modifications necessary to fit the No1 trigger, just plug and play...

Great info! I will incorporate that into my next projects. I have a few NOS #1 triggers to play with.

That's amazing!
I've been reading for years that the No1 & No4 are different & non interchangeable! Hug

The only noticeable difference is in the profile.  The humps on the No1 are maybe a tad taller but I never measured them since there is no actual need currently...

Very nice rifle, looks sharp.

I'll throw another point of data in for No1 triggers on No4 rifles. The customer No4 Mk2 I'm restocking right now has a No1 trigger in it that appears unmodified. Works fine.
