I'm always a decade behind but I now have an Air Fryer .

Did hot wings first then several pizzas some custom smoked back bacon and now some legs.
Cant wait to try coconut shrimp next.

Possibilities are endless just after midnight.

I love the one we have, it does such a nice job of frying things with a lot less mess. Pretty handy appliance.

My wife uses the air frier all the time, it’s great!  I like it to reheat pizza...much better than a microwave.

I've been using a Ninja Max for about a year (COVID meant I couldn't get out for Buffalo Wings!) and it is really working out nice.  Does fish, chicken, even bacon.  And frozen French fries come out great.

Hot Italian Sausage with peppers & onions - recommend you try in an air fryer!

Came home today 24 chicken legs and four thighs and legs and two pounds of shrimp. Stopped and picked up six small meat combo pizzas from Safeway on a buy two get two free deal.

Then there was cooler from UPS in the driveway filled with Halibut, Salmon and Swordfish steaks on dry-ice.

I found that if I put a slice or two of bread under the cooking grill the clean up is a breeze and I get some nice toast or the chickens do.

Going to order some more smoked back bacon too, that was marvelous the first day.

Hopefully the novelty will ware off soon and I will stop boring you all.

Got a nice easy one for you.
"Crusader Burger's"
Make hamburger patties as you normally would.
Take 2 rashers of bacon for each pattie.
Wrap one round Left>Right & the other bottom>top.
If theres an overlap (there should be) make sure its on opposite sides so you don't get 4 layers of bacon, but 2 X 2.
Drizzle with Worcestershire sauce.
Let sit 20 minutes.
Grill over charcoal & apple-wood direct heat to make the bacon crispy. About 4~6 min a side, depending on your grill.

I got a taste for squirrel when I worked down south with some Louisianna fellows. We have lots of squirrels in Manitoba. You can shoot Grey's same as rabbits but you need a Trappers License for Red's.

OMG Alaskan Halibut on dry ice showed up yesterday.

I can't remember when I last had not frozen fresh Halibut or any for that mater.

It was so good and then the wife tells me I will be getting a mixed box every week
for who knows how long.

When I was young my first job after school was in a small fresh fish shop in a beach town.

Old Obadia would hit the Santa Monica pier at 4AM and flop a fresh 45 lb Halibut on the counter where i was peeling and de-vaining 50+ pounds of shrimp.  I had to learn how to find the joint in the spine in one cut, almost impossible for a fifteen year old. But when I finally got it the steaks were enormous and if they didn't sell from the iced display case by the second day I got to take them home cheap. Old Obie had every widow in town flirting with him and the store was like a hobby and a hunting ground for the old bird. Retired sound man from MGM and a real ladies man.

Small aside was as a teen after peeling so many shrimp everyday my hands smelled so bad I could not get a date by Friday night. I love shrimp and just bought two + pounds of jumbos for the air firer but I will never forget those 25 lb. blocks of frozen waiting for me every day after school and big pot of freezing water from defrosting them. On Friday there would be three of them and I had to boil 3/4 of the things and lobster tails too. I still those yellow boxes of seasoning at the market and recall the smell. Two blocks from the High school but I never saw any of the school girls in there just the mom's and old Obie hitting on them. He a lot of old actor friends from Hollywood would join him on Friday and they would sit in the back drinking and telling wicked stories about the starlets.

So much for my wasted youth. LOL
