Hi all,
First post as just joined so go easy on me. Can anyone recommend a recipe for my 303 using Woodleigh 174g soft nose bullets? I have stock of Releoader 19 and using CGI primers but am struggling for data. Help appreciated. Thanks

Welcome from Atlanta, GA.
I wasn’t able to find load data for 174 gr bullets with Re 19 in my Sierra, Hornady or Lyman manuals. Alliant, the powder maker, also did not list Re 19 on their website for .303. I was able to find Re 19 loads with the Woodleigh 215 gr bullet in Steve Redgwell’s book: Min 40.0 and max 44.0. Re 19 is a slow powder, slower than IMR 4350. A bit slow for a 174 gr bullet. Re 15 would be a better choice. |
