   has anyone here done the .30-303 coversion from that one fellow's book?    how did it work out?  and is it a viable option to do these days??

	I haven't yet, but I have the donor rifle ready to roll. Of course it's viable, espcially as my best mate is a gunsmith and I'm a fitter machinist and armourer. I guess is it worth it for someone that has to pay for all the work is another question. But if you love SMLEs, No4's or P14's then it's a fun way to keep shooting them in "nearly standard" form as far as cartridge goes.

	in France we see some odd civilian calibres in Lee Enfield and other "Military" rilfes. This because up until 2013; you required a special permit for a military calibre; but could get a civilian calibre (.308 etc) with less paperwork. You could buy a .308 Enfield but not a 7.62 unless you did the extra paperwork; it was madness! Finally in 2013 the law was changed so the bolt action military calibres could be owned with same paperwork requirements as the civilian calibres. So now we see these modified rifles for sale and basically, not easy to sell. Some were probably quite dangerous; as no real claculation of pressures etc.
	It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
