It has been used fairly extensively around the world.  Here in Canada it was a fairly popular conversion at one time.

I was talking to a fellow yesterday who used to use this cartridge a fair amount and he said that he found by using the "improved" version, sharper shoulder etc, he got great case life and stellar performance.

Yes and it seems like the 35 degree shoulder works better that the 40 degree. Or so I am learning from what I can find.

Pacific lists the .338-303 as an off-the-shelf reamer.
