I did not get to shoot last weekend; because my Mum is in hospital. I went to the UK to see her.
So to cheer us up we headed to the range this morning.
My daughter also joined the competition and shot two cards; while the wife and I shot our second cards. So a bit of family competition!
I did not shoot as well as the first round. Scoring only 163/200.
My daughter shot a 183/200 with the CZ 455 and a 167/200.
My wife shot a 176/200 today .
So my daughter got the best family score from the first card.
Don't know what other people have shot yet.
I promised my daughter that if she got the top score (family) we would take her karting. So looks like we'll be karting next weekend!
I was hoping to enter with the scoped No8, but today was the last day; so will have to be satisfied with the 1918 SMLE.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Got the results of the competition! The good news is that I was not last! not quite anyway!
I was 25th out of 26 shooter's.
I was a bit dissapointed with the second card's score as mentioned earlier 163/200.  I'm thinking that using the 6 o'clock hold may not be the best option on these targets; as they are basically a black ring with a white centre. So maybe a dead centre aim would be better. I'll have to try it out.
Being the only person using an old rifle and no scope; it was a lot of fun.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
