I had range duty today and the crowd was light so I decided to have some quality time on the 200 yard range with my No4 Mk1 Longbranch.  After I put two target up a young fellow showed up with a 1903a3. Being The kind soul that I am I offered  one of my targets. Well we were both zeroing for 200 with a spotting scope. He was having a bit of trouble so helped him get in in the black. Well after checking how everybody was on the range  I took another shot and it was a bit high. so I lower my sight. We then patch targets an fire for score. Well the bad news my spottingscope was on his target when I made the final adjustment so I shot low; everything in the six & seven ring.
The good news is  that those ten shots were in a five inch group. Prone at 200 yards no rest! (pulled Mark VII bullets on 38 grains of Varget)  I also hit the 200 yard gong offhand after a Range Ninja taunted me about my "antique" rifle.
Have a Nice Day

Why dirty a bullet on an ignorant lout???  I would have shoved his rifle muzzle in the dirt when he wasn't looking and waited for the bang when he fired it. LOL

Range ninjas are a prime example of why proper buttstroke technique needs to be maintained.........
