Here's a photo of the work on the barn. Taken on Monday.

They've started getting the new slates on today.
We completed the renovation of the stone work on the end above the small shed while it's roof was removed  for the scaffolding of the main roof repair.

And here's a photo with the stonework almost done last year. With the shed roof removed we could finish it.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

That is an awesome old barn.  Zed, I think you see it was several hundred years old?

Why do the words "indoor 25 yd  range" come to  mind?
Depending on legality, backstop, & so on . . .

Nice idea, but I don't think that "private" shooting ranges are not legal. I'll have to check.
Also noise would be an issue.
We make do with the air rifle 10 metre in the garden with the barn as the backstop!

I'm not sure but .22 std velocity from an Enfleld length barrel is pretty quiet!
Maybe something like CB or BB caps?
I've actually hunted squirrels in a house attic with them in a Remington rolling block pistol!

When you mentioned indoor range I immediately thought of a pistol range! Which would be noisy!
I think it would be better for the neighbours to keep it for the air rifle.
Don't have 25 yards inside the barn anyway so the 10 metre would be best option.
Next project has to be better lighting. Then maybe we can find the space!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
