Hi forum, new here. Just wondering what you fellas think of the ATI replacement stock for a no.4 or any other options out there? My background is big game rifles with some basic wildcatting, don't know enfields very intimately ( beyond seeing them all around growing up here in Australia) but I am looking to convert an old beater to fire 45 ACP. The actuak work will be done by a real master gunsmith here- I see a lot of 45 acp conversions on youtube including the kit types and almost none of them feed or eject properly, so we will see if we can nail it. There are a few smiths in the world doing the true delisle action style, aka chopping the bolt and setting the barrel back into the action which ends up a lot more stylish. This project will be the 'cheaper way' Rebarrel the action....then try and get everything to feed and eject. :)Anyway being the rifle will get chopped a bit and the barrel is stainless I was figuring it wont defile it too much to also add a synthetic or even hunting style wood stock. I see on amazon or some site the reviews for the ATI stock do not stack up great, a lot saying its of work to get them to fit, terrible group sizes etc etc. Wonder if you folks might have better knowledge of them?
Anyway, thanks again for letting me join.
