14C here in beautiful sunny Agassiz, British Columbia with no wind. I just got back from my firing range with my Savage #4MK1/2 rebuild with a PH4 rear sight. Shot off 17 rounds of PPU 174gr FMJBT onto this target at 100 yards. That’s as far as my range offers. The 4 holes in the 10 ring with two almost in the 10 were after 4 clicks of the windage dial, elevation was set at 2 clicks below the 200 yard mark on the PH4. I must say this rifle is darned accurate and a pleasure to shoot! I added a rubber butt pad to extend my length of pull as the butt stock is of the short variety. 3 more rounds sh*t at the metal gong had that thing swinging wildly with distinct ping on all 3 shots. It was good enough for me and a relatively cheap morning at the range. Now off for home to clean and inspect and oil the rifle. Oh the she!! casings showed minimal distortion with the striker dent smack dab in the middle of the primer. Oh happy day!

Spring is a myth. We got a foot of snow here yesterday. Friday/Saturday we are supposed to get another foot with 20 - 30 mph winds. Winter just won't let go.

Canuck: You said 14C "WITH NO WIND" (How come you had to click the windage 4X?) Guy beside you was sneezing a lot, right?

I wish my target from the competition last Sunday looked that good!
I scored below what I was hoping for; still qualified for the next round; but not great.

Hoadie, because this was the first time shooting this combination of sights so there was a little adjustment required and there was no one else at the range, just me, which is normal on a Monday morning.
