Found a box of Norma ammo at a gun shop sale. The box has bullets with headstamp K-17, one has what looks like a Japanese Mark and 1936. One has what looks like a J 17, another K 1918 VII. Any ideas?

These three were for a machine gun. Very corrosive ammo.

I don't think you found a box of Norma ammo.

I think you found a Norma box with ammo in it.

some are 1917 Kynoch aren't they?  also 1918 by same maker, and mostly Mk V11 or Mk V11Z.

Middle one of circled I can't see very well, but May be Royal Laboratories, Woolwich.  (If it's marked RL that is.)

Oldhand.
I took a picture of a box of my Norma ammo. This is what the head stamps look like.

I remember when NORMA ammunition was all I could get for my Finn capture 91/30
I was really excited when we first got internet , Y'all remember AOL ????    LOL!!!   type in your search and go get a beer !!!!
Yea, I think I still have the empty box from that first surplus ammo order, and also that was when I found out what Surplus ammo did to a barrel if you didnt clean after firing it !!!  Good thing it was a junker Rifle !!!

Mr Rhino,

A Finned 91/30 is still a good rifle.  They usually shoot beautifully.  (As you will know!)
Shot my first (cost $40.00) at 550 yards at a packer wheel off a seed drill, hanging on a fence.
Rested on truck and fired 3. (open sights)  Thought I saw packer move with the first shot, but not with the other two.
Went and had a look, and all 3 in 4 1/4" spread.    It was a "hex" receiver. Sold it for some reason !!
