Having recently joined, i will take this opportunity to post a brief introduction.

I am a retired male, moving along toward my 75th birthday, and reside in Medicine Hat, Alberta.  I have been a gun accumulator and shooter since my teenage years, and have a particular fascination with British Empire (Canadian-issue preferably) military firearms of the latter half of the 19th century and first half of the twentieth …

Good to see you on the Enfield Rifles Forum. I “know you” from the British Militaria Forum, which I have not visited in some time. This a good group, lots of collector knowledge here. Also numerous “shooters” on this forum. 

Let us know what LE’s you have. You’re a very experienced collector and shooter, so may not be that much we can help you with.

hey , grant , we knew each other back on the skennerton sight many years ago and had a little interaction thru SASS/CAS back when as well the british militaria site , also on the glad you found us here and i believe this will be mutually beneficial as your wealth of knowledge can now be tapped into ,

Big Howdy! from a former western Canadian, now a Texan who also loves everything Lee Enfield.  I have a M.L.E. and a C.L.L.E. among many others in my collection, both civilian target rifles and in excellent condition.

Shilo, Ontario, or at least Toronto, finally got what they've always craved! To be seen as a "real" big city the NYC and LA! Cool! I wish them well! Drive bys, "new Canadian" gangbangers dealing drugs! All in a revolving door justice system... Sounds like heaven to me!

Ya, and nope, I stopped going to TO 10 yrs ago, it was a sh!t show then and I can`t even imagine going there now.
Orangeville or NewMarket is as far south As I`ll go. And that`s a stretch.
Ontario is just simply falling apart, I don`t know how for the life of me why my two younger brothers and there families are still living in the GTA. When we get together, they come to my sanctuary.

My eldest son moved back to T.O. (I can't understand why)
T.O.gets the lion's share of the provincial budget & it's NEVER enough! They constantly scream they need more-while the rest of us have to "make do" with the left overs!
If I want to travel east to go to the cabin (link up with the 35/115) I have to take the most expensive toll road in N.America(maybe the world) cuz w/Toronto the 401 is always plugged solid.Take 403 - 400 its the same, then ya gotta hook up w/ 401 again! Doesn't matter, when it comes to Toronto, ya can't go under it, ya can't go over it, ya gotta go thru it...& wear the shyte when (if) ya come out t'other side!!
Torontonians think the sun rises & sets on their ass(ets) but the rest of the province hates them!
Their screaming they have insufficient $ to run the place: gotta cut costs...but WAIT!! we can't stop plowing the windrows, & we STILL nedd weekly garbage pick-up,Well, if you asked for windrow plowing anywhere else you'd be laughed at. Garbage - we're allowed 2 bags..EVERY OTHER WEEK!(summer magots are wonderful). And their hosting a couple game of the soccer world cup - that has balloned to a cost of $380 MILLION & growing!! They aren't even big games...& you just KNOW who's gonna hafta pick up that tab!! (Should dig a trench around it & let it rot to death!
