he!!o all,

I have a 1944 SMLE No.1 Mk.3 Lithgow and a No.5 Mk.1 ROF Jungle Carbine with bayonets and slings. Bores are clean with good rifling on both.

Please help me determine the value of each item and if you see any defects, and let me know in general if these are nice examples or not.

For example - I notice very rough milling marks on the right side of the Lithgow, and equally rough marks on the thumb groove cut out to help reloading.

I would appreciate any info you have on these!

Thanks

Both seem typical & correct to me.
Values are all over the place recently so this applies to The Mid Atlantic Eastern seaboard.
$750~900 for the No5 & another $250 for the bayonet.

The SMLE is probably $650~750 & $250~300 for the bayonet.

$250-300 for a common P1907 with almost no finish remaining seems wild to me.  I would say half that is more realistic.

the no 5 looks good - it was made at FAZAKERLY in 46 , its in original condition given its age , the bayonet looks fine , but i cant make out the mfgr - it would be poole or wilkinson ,

i cant see the no 1 ,

The butt pad seems to be in good nick. Thats rare unless its been replaced. Mine was hard as a rock & faded to a greenish colour. Rhino brought a new one up when he came to visit. Looks great!(Still hurts to shoot (Shoulder joint comprimised).
