Went to BINGO at the Legion Hall this week. They play for beer chips and we each won four chips.

As I'm am no longer allowed beer by my doctors I turned the chips into raffle tickets as there is always a drawing for some cool gifts like a twenty pack of toilet paper or a bottle of Four Roses whiskey but this week the Legion Riders donated a bunch of stuff like XXL bib waders and some other dated hunting gear, dear bait and bear spray and a 3006 Savage 110 with some 3X9 4X cheap scope.

I put all my tickets into the beer can in front of that. They drew the tickets at breakfast today and called me. I will have to have my FFL wade through the provenance of this but I'm out nothing at this point and I have a Savage 110T in .308. Now they have a cheap plastic stock that gets a lot of laughter in many circles but for out of the box accuracy Savage's a darn good. Caliber change is almost child's work. I'm thinking maybe a HB 6.5X55 Swedish barrel swap. And I have a new Leupold M3 LR 30mm tube 10X still new in the box I won at an NRA dinner back in the late '90s.

The pot luck lunch was OK too.

This is my .308 Savage T box stock issue trigger.
