I think this is one of best all around rifles going. I use my 303 to hunt bison up here in northern Canada. I use 150 gran.

I agree with you there the .303 British is more then capable to handle any Northern American game.

Wow. 150grain on Bison. You would think a person would like to use 180 grain for something that big and solid.

The only thing, one would run into with 150gn pills is the risk of shattering bones due to there higher velocity. However I would imagine the hide on the Bison should prevent that.

Well-they used to use .577/450 & .577 musket on 'em.I use 150 on deer but 180 on moose.(Maybe we're spoiled these days.)

Hoadie, one could get away with a liter pill on deer, should one wish to spend a much more significant amount on them. Back east I used 140gn pills in my .270win, here on VI I could use a .223 with any problems.
So maybe we are now spoiled

No SILLY I'm saying if it was economically viable you could use 125gn pills, but they are expensive and not eadily available most places

Same here, oddly enough though every time my buddy goes into the less desirable sporting shop and buys their last box of commercial ammo in .303 there seems to be one more on the shelf the next day.

hey are you guy realy having a hard time geting the 150 s for the enfield?thats not the case up here let me know i know of a few good ammo dealers i could refer you to (just glad to help) as for the bisson hunt let me know how it goes good luck my comrade

we have some of the best fishing in all of canada 400.000 lakes what does that tell you i have a bud that lives in midland and iv dont some fishing in that area im just a bit higher than the french river about 2 hrs north
