I think I'm like my buddy Mike Frost's mom.
She was always "heavy" & it wasn't food intake.
She was also tall so it was a LOT of weight!
She rode a push bike to work every day in hilly Bristol.
When someone asked her husband how she did it he explained:
"When you put that much weight on a pedal either the wheel turns, or the chain snaps"!(not to be mean, but to illustrate the amount & volume of the weight).

Anyway she went to a new doctor who discovered she was hypoglycemic!
Well, they got her the "starting dose" of Thyroxin & she was thrilled beyond belief!
She went in for the first follow up & had lost almost 85 Lbs! She felt great, full of energy!
They had one heck of a time getting her to cut back n the "miracle pills"!
She was just very sensitive to the imbalance & its medication!
Confused
They cut her back to almost 1/4 of the minimum starting dose & she was loosing steadily a few pounds a month which was as fast as they waned to push her system!
Don't shoot till you see the whites of their thighs. (Unofficial motto of the Royal Air Force)

i appreciate all the input here , im still gettin to readin the instructions , my wife seems to have a lot for me to do and i hate to miss my site visits here so ive been putting it off ,

at my weight of 155 and height at 5-9 im thinking im ok but i realize most folks that think they are fine are surprised to find out they are not at my age of 72 , im hoping ill be good for a while as my honey do list keeps gettin longer now that im officially retired due to the covid epidemic , im not complainin on either or any count im just still gettin used to the changes these days , i do get tired and i like my knaps when i can fit them in ,

i will say im not peddling a bicycle to town these days - i got no weight to move or break a chain without a bolt cutter these days , i can do that as i have a bolt cutter if needed , im not incline to cut any chains till i have a need tho , im too busy fixin things recently ,

I'm 150lbs and 5'9", so similar build to you A Square.
I'm 59 and still working full time in a physical job.
I found that I have high cholesterol, which was another reason to change diet for me. Problem is that I don't make enough good cholesterol to counteract the bad stuff in a normal diet.
Made some improvements, but am due for another test after the holiday.
Saying that; since changing diet I feel great!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
