he!!o all,
I'm new to the forum, so thanks in advance for any help or information you can provide.

I have a BSA MKIII that has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and bayonet lug.  The forward stock and rear sight have original serial numbers lined through and new serial numbers added to match. The replacement stock looks like an Enfield product that also bears an early Australia property mark (A inside star).  The replacement stock and rear sight are both MKIII components and not MKIII*.  The serial number is K9149.  The receiver is dated 1915 and the barrel is dated 1916, so I'm guessing this rifle was made in Jan-Feb of 1916.

I don't see any rework stamps on the gun (unless I'm missing something).  I'm looking for any information you can provide regarding the nature of the repairs, what organization likely performed them, and when.  Would these repairs have been made during WWI?  If so, at what level would this have occurred?  Regiment; Brigade; Division; depot?

Thank you and very best regards,
Steve K
